Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD)
The growth behavior of Indium Oxide films on (001) MgO substrates has been studied using OIM. The early stages of the In2O3 film deposition predominantly occurs with the (111) planes parallel to the surface of the substrate and the growth proceeding in the [111] direction of the film. At a later stage in the growth process, however, the predominant growth direction becomes the [001] direction.
