EDAX China runs three to four EDS user training courses and one EBSD/OIM course locally every year. The course is normally conducted in an EDAX customer site and participants come from all over China. The EDS courses involve fundamental X-ray spectrometric theories, EDS software application knowledge and the basic maintenance skills for EDAX instruments. The EBSD/OIMTM course covers EBSD/OIMTM fundamental theories and the software application knowledge. This course is given by one of EDAX's application specialists from the EDAX/TSL office located in Draper, UT.
In 2006, EDAX China held an EDS/TEM user training course. The course took place in Wuhan. Approximately thirty people from twelve installed bases attended the course, plus an additional twenty students. EDAX Senior Application Specialist Alan Sandborg was the main instructor for the course and Lihe Tan (EDAX China Regional Manager) assisted in the interpretation. |
