EDAX offers training courses at our Wiesbaden office in Germany
At the Wiesbaden office a modern training facility is available. Training courses for EDS, WDS, EBSD, and Pegasus are offered. Courses are presented in the German language (unless otherwise noted) and are targeted to EDAX users in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
EDS Microanalysis Courses
The three day and four day EDS Microanalysis courses in Wiesbaden offer comprehensive training for users at all levels. The four day course is identical to the three day course but offers an additional day of training on the EDAX Particle Analysis software. Course Information - Agenda - Registration Form.
EBSD OIM™ Academy Operator Courses
The two and a half day EBSD Operator course in Wiesbaden (given within the Pegasus course) offers comprehensive training for users of EBSD systems, including OIM™ and Delphi Phase Identification. Course Information - Agenda - Registration Form.
Pegasus (TEAM™ EDS/EBSD) Courses
The five day EDS and EBSD Operator course in Wiesbaden focuses on both techniques and the advantages using both techniques together. The physical basics of both methods give a better understanding of the electron beam analytical methods. This comprehensive training for users of EDS technique using the TEAM™ software and EBSD systems, including OIM™ and Delphi Phase Identification. A main focus will be the analysis of samples and questions from the participants.

Particle Analysis Course
The one day Particle Operator course will be offered after a TEAM™ training course. The course gives an introduction to the strategy of Particle Analysis with further detail using customer samples. Course Information - Agenda - Registration Form
WDS Courses
For a better understanding of WDS/EDS software, three days are spent on advanced EDS and WDS. WDS should not be viewed as a stand-alone analysis technique, but should be used complementary to EDS. Course Information - Agenda - Registration Form.
Micro-XRF Courses
To further your education on Micro-XRF and to get the most out of your Orbis system, EDAX offers a training course twice a year. The course is specifically for Orbis users and covers the theory and physics of EDXRF, production and properties of XRF and effect of capillary optics on the primary tube radiation. Specific software topics include Qualitative and Quantitative analysis, fundamental parameters and intensity analysis. Imaging, mapping and linescan are also addressed. The course utilizes informative lectures along with hands on lab and computer demos and customer sample analysis. Course Information - Agenda - Registration Form.
